Placed 105th overall, Mike was the second British male to have completed the gruelling race. During the event – which was the equivalent of the running the UK three peaks every 12 hours – Mike dealt with extreme cold temperature, mountainous terrain at night, loss of sight due to the fatigue and altitude and still managed to completed the whole event with just 7 hours sleep. If that wasn’t hard enough, Mike came to the aid of a struggling runner on the course, who had also scummed to loss of sight and was disorientated – Mike guided the runner on to the next aid station and made sure they were ok.

Some places are truly held for those who choose to step outside of their comfort zone – well done Mike!
