On April 2nd, the MCD Heritage team set off on a remarkable virtual journey — a 1,084-mile trek from Land’s End to John O’Groats, travelling the entire length of mainland Britain. But this wasn’t just a challenge of endurance — it was a mission with heart.
The goal? To raise vital funds for Rays of Sunshine, a children’s charity that grants wishes for seriously ill young people across the UK. And thanks to the overwhelming support from colleagues, clients, friends, and family, we’ve already surpassed our original fundraising target.
But the story doesn’t end there. Inspired by this incredible generosity, MCD Heritage has raised the bar, setting a new target of £2,100 — and we’re already over 70% of the way there.
This additional fundraising push is dedicated to 15-year-old Lilly, who was diagnosed with ganglioglioma, a rare type of brain tumour, in 2022. Lilly’s wish is to have a professional photoshoot and a shopping spree — a joyful and empowering experience to look forward to.
“We’re so close to making Lilly’s wish come true,” said a spokesperson for MCD Heritage. “And with everyone’s continued support, we know we can get there.”
