With over 1.25 million visitors to Tate Britain in 2015 the general wear and tear on the building is enormous. And add to that the need to maintain the perfect backdrop for exhibitions then Tate Britain has to find contractors that are skilled, reliable, safe, and financially viable.
As Tate Britain's chosen contractor for the Duveen Gallery, we enjoy an on-going relationship with the Tate because of our level of expertise and our ability to work within tight time constraints. Over the past few months not only did we undertake the creation of the exhibition space for the Pablo Bronstein exhibition, but we have also completed several refurbishment jobs to keep the Gallery in a pristine condition.
We have had the pleasure of repairing and redecorating the ceilings in the Clore Galleries, fitting a new kitchen for staff in the staff entrance area and removing exhibition works. We were pleased that we were able to complete the work within the time period allotted, as well as with the minimum amount of interruption to the Gallery. The exhibition turnaround time was impressive and obviously it is essential that as a company we can work quickly and safely so that Tate Britain can maintain its high level of service, and provide an exhibition space that is welcoming and aesthetically enhances the exhibitions that they display.
At MCD Heritage we have a large range of competent and skilled contractors who have the necessary expertise to work within an exhibition environment. Our Directors also have many years of experience finding solutions to challenging scenarios and working with artists' requirements, so no job is too big, or too small.
