Siomara’s experience working with MCD Heritage
What does a typical day look like for you at MCD Heritage?
The day usually starts bright and early with a chat and a laugh with the team, plus the standard moan about the weather. After that, we sort out our tools and materials and get stuck into the day’s tasks. There’s always something new to learn.

It’s creative, physically active, and incredibly rewarding to see the transformation of each property throughout a project.

My favourite project was a commercial fit-out in Belgravia, London, which is memorable because it was where I first began my journey with MCD.

Kinnerton Street has been my favourite location because we’ve worked on multiple projects there, allowing me to learn new skills and build a closer connection with the team.
What’s the most challenging part of your work?
Definitely the weather, it keeps you on your toes and can throw off deadlines. And now and again, lining up schedules with other people on site can be challenging.
How do you approach problem-solving on site?
By taking a look at what’s going on, chatting through ideas with the team, and keeping my superiors in the loop so we can sort things out together.

I’ve honestly really enjoyed it! It’s been a great experience and a fantastic opportunity.
What’s one thing that sets MCD apart from other companies you’ve worked for?

What are you looking forward to working on next?
New projects with more responsibility.
How has your role or experience grown since joining?
A lot! I’ve had the chance to use my personal and painting skills on real projects and get to grips with MCD’s working style. It’s opened the door to new opportunities, with great support along the way.
