In October 2025, the MCD Heritage team supported Tate Britain with its latest major exhibition, showcasing the photographer Lee Miller’s extraordinary career. Featuring around 250 vintage and modern prints, including some never previously displayed, the exhibition explored her involvement in French surrealism, as well as her work in fashion and war photography.
To create a more industrial feel, our team of carpenters exposed studwork by cutting back plywood and plasterboard from existing walls, finishing with trim to achieve the clean lines seen in the images. The colour scheme, applied by our skilled decorators and supported by Little Greene paints, was achieved using a laser line to create a crisp division between the two colours, resulting in a striking finish.
In support of the freestanding exhibits, the team fabricated and installed wall-mounted showcases, stainless steel vitrine legs, and baseboards, all finished with Perspex hoods.
