Based in Milbank, Westminster the Tate Britain gallery is part of the Tate Network of galleries, with Tate Modern, Tate Liverpool and Tate St Ives. It is the oldest Tate gallery, having opened in 1897 and its ranked 50th in the worlds most visited art museums.

The Happy Gas exhibition showcase’s more than 75 works from Sarah Lucas spanning over four decades. Constructed in the Tate’s Gallery 61, the exhibition is seen as a survey of Sarah Lucas’ work and a mix of sculptures and photographs as well as new works being shown for the first time. This diverse exhibition breaks the boundaries with humour and daring, depicting the whole spectrum of what it means to be human.

The Heritage team worked closely with the artist to produce this incredible effect. The highly skilled tradesmen where responsible for reconfigured partitioning walls, building display plinths, installation of artwork and sculpture and decorating the space which included bespoke vinyl wall coverings.
