In January 2024 MCD Heritage where awarded the refurbishment project of the Duke of Battersea Public house, Battersea, London. Previously known as the Draft House Westridge, having been taken over by the BrewDog chain in March 2018 - the Pub was renamed the Duke of Battersea in May 2021.
The scope of the project involved a complete interior refurbishment of the building, restoring original ironworks, wooden windows and doors, and original oak wooden flooring. The team constructed a bespoke oak bar, installed a new ventilation system and a new roof. They upgraded the electrical and plumbing services, gave the building a full decoration throughout and restored and modernised existing artworks.
MCD Heritage completed this complex project in 8 weeks working closely with the client and assisting with the design process. Care was taken to ensure that the project used as few new materials as possible and kept all works with the period of the building.
