Working Site Supervisor MCD Heritage
For me, three words that describe the company best are; Quality, Standards, Ambitious
My first day when I found out that I was working at the V&A
There's been plenty, but probably one of the group days out. We had a good day together and it was a great laugh.
Being introduced to a wide and diverse group of clients in the Heritage industry.
I love walking down the Hintze gallery in the V&A, a gallery I worked on during lock down when I was relatively new to the company.
Go for it! we aren't a massive company but it's a really nice place to work. Everyone knows everyone from the managers to the tradespeople and you get to work at some cool places!
Jamie Barry "séamas de barra" in Irish ?
I recently got promoted to the role of Working Site Supervisor for MCD Heritage. My roles and responsibilities are making sure that everyone is working safely on site and making sure that we are delivering to the right standards.
I have been working for MCD Heritage for three and a half years now.
Experiencing things that I wouldn't normally experience on a normal building site - from famous artwork and the newest exhibitions at the Tate Briton.
I don't know how my skills will benefit the company, but I try my best to work hard each day and learn if I can "every day is a school day". I try to be as friendly as possible and get on with everyone.
For the time being, my short-term goal is to get more comfortable within my role as every week the Site’s we work on are different. Over the long term I want to progress within the company.
The company has offered me several training courses that have helped me to better myself. I feel that there is a chance for me to progress, and I want to continue working towards a better future.
