Chris's Story
I’ve worked with MCD for a number of years, however, I officially joined the payroll over the winter of 2018. I’ve always appreciated the supportive ethos of the company and every day I make use of all my skills and experience to successfully complete a project. They’re a great bunch of people and I know I have made friends for life. It’s a cliche to call the company you work for a ‘family’ but MCD does feel like that. We are all individuals, with different opinions on how something should be done, but we have open frank discussions, agree a way forward and then get on with it. And we always celebrate a job well done too!
My proudest moment so far was working on a project inside Tate Britain. We built a replica of a M53 Motorway Bridge inside the gallery. Many didn't think it could be done but we did it - and the exhibition was a huge success.
